(Kuala Lumpur) as of today (Monday, 19 April) at 8 am, the Ministry of Health received a report related to (ILI) group infection which involved 2 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Menengah Bukit Sentosa Rawang in Selangor state.
Director of Health Tan Sri Ismail said that one of the students had received treatment, and another student was admitted to hospital for observation, the Ministry of Health department is awaiting test results.
He also clarified that Sunday (April 18) in Sarawak Sibu 4-year-old girl's death is not directly infected with influenza A died, the girl is the result of lung and blood bacterial infection complications and death.
Currently, there are 550 patients with flu-like hospital in the Malaysia, of which 66 (12%) of the A-type influenza infection. Another two people had just been admitted to the intensive care unit treatment, one person was discharged. There are currently 13 patients treated in the intensive care unit, 10 of which are high-risk group.
